Cardinalis is a revival of the Keystone Type Foundry’s Cardinal Series which was created in the 1890s. This series was publicized in the foundry’s specimen books between 1903 and 1910 before the foundry was ultimately purchased in 1917. The goal of this project was to create a text typeface so I specifically chose to focus on Twelve Point Cardinal as my primary reference for this revival.
